June 3rd

Omigosh it's June 3rd!!! How is that possible? Time just seems to be racing by. Wasn't it just the middle of winter? I'm not sure if it's because I'm getting older or it it's because I now have a peanut to care for that takes up so much of my time. Or maybe it's just that I'm paying more attention to the months going by because I. cannot. have. a one year old. It's just not possible. And yet in a few short weeks (6 to be exact), I will. Pretty nuts.

Last June on this date, we bought our first house. The stress leading up to it was pretty crazy as there was one more thing that could have gone wrong. I used to be a real estate paralegal and I worked on my own closing. And let me tell you that not all closings go smoothly, but one rarely goes as horribly wrong as my own. I remember breathing a huge sigh of relief as we signed those closing papers and were handed our keys. We knew we had a long road in store for us as far as renovations go, but we were so so excited! One year ago today!
